Instabox secured funding totalling $30 million.
Instabox, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing a delivery services via physical boxes, announced getting into a financing deal of SEK 400M ($40M).
The deal involves adding new investors in the company, including Creades, Nineyards (both from Sweden) and London-based credit specialist CORDET, and is structured as a SEK 50M ($5M) equity raise, SEK 250M ($24.9M) in debt and a secondary transaction of SEK 100M ($10M).
Creades' involvement is SEK 75 million and becomes a new major shareholder, controlling 6.9% of the shares. Nineyards contributes with SEK 35 million.
Instabox, founded in 2010 and led by CEO Alexis Priftis, developed a logistics service for e-commerce retailers, offering same-day delivery through its network of last-mile smart delivery lockers. The company operates 442 smart package lockers in about 100 locations, mostly based in Stockholm.
Prior to this deal, Instabox raised about $8M.
