Invesdor in a merger agreement with German competitors Kapilendo.
Invesdor, a Helsinki, Finland-based company operating a crowdfunding investment platform, merged their operations with the Germany competitor Kapilendo.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Kapilendo CEO Christopher Grätz will become the CEO of the merged company, which will operate under the name of Invesdor.
Kapilendo AG offers digital investment banking services for medium-sized companies including digital financing solutions for European SMEs in the form of loans, subordinated loans, token-based promissory notes, as well as digital equity offerings. In 2019, Kapilendo acquired the banking platform wevest as the company moved to offer additional services for SMEs. Around the same time, Kapilendo Custodian was launched to facilitate the storage of digital assets as the company saw the opportunity to broaden its services. Since 2015, Kapilendo has facilitated €129 million for German SMEs.
Invesdor, founded in 2012 and led by CEO Lasse Mäkelä, operates a digital investment platform in the Nordics and DACH region. In May 2019 Invesdor merged with the Austrian crowdinvesting platform Finnest, which offers debt-based crowdfunding for medium-sized (Mittelstand) companies.
