iZettle raises more growth money, eyes IPO plans.

iZettle, a Stockholm, Sweden-based mobile payments company, announced raising $47M in a fresh investment funding round which values the company at $950M.

The money comes from new and existing investors, including Dawn Capital and the Swedish pension fund company AP4.

iZettle, founded in 2011 and led by CEO Jacob de Geer, started as a a mobile payments business that now provides tools for firms to take payments and register and analyze sales. The company also is one of Europe's fastest growing companies and is available in twelve markets in Europe and Latin America.

The funding is part of a comprehensive expansion phase, which may culminate with a public list in 2018.
