Jina Ai raised a $30 million Series A funding round led by Canaan Partners.
Jina AI, a Berlin, Germany-based startup developing an open search neural search engine, announced closing a $30 million series A funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Canaan Partners and joined by new investor Mango Capital, as well as existing investors GGV Capital, SAP.iO and Yunqi Partners.
Jina AI, founded in 2020 by CEO Han Xiao, Bing He, Nan Wang and Xuanbin He, developed a software solution that uses neural search to help its users find information in their unstructured data, including videos and images. The tool - the Jina framework - is provided to developers in order to help them quickly build search tools for their specific use cases. In addition to the framework, the company offers the Jina Hub, a marketplace that allows developers to share and discover the building blocks for Jina-based neural search applications, as well as the recently launched Finetuner, a tool for fine-tuning any deep neural network.
Jina has previously raised $9 million.
