Julep raised €2 million from Rheinische Post Mediengruppe, the Müller Medien family and angel investor Andreas Mayer

Julep, a Munich, Germany-based company operating a B2B marketplace for advertisers and podcasters, announced that it secured a funding round of €2 million ($2.3M).

The money was raised from German investors, including Rheinische Post Mediengruppe, the Müller Medien family and angel investors Andreas Mayer, Andreas Wiele and Marcus Prosch. Funds will be used for expanding the business.

Julep, founded in 2019 by Marcus Englert, Sebastian Weil, Björn Jopen and Manfred Neumann, built a podcast platform providing access to content products including Julep Media, Julep Studios and Julep Hosting as well as services for publishers and media companies as a marketer. Julep represents 180 podcasters and has an inventory of nine million marketable streams per month.
