Keystone Academic Solutions from Norway announced the merger with Educations Media Group from Sweden.
Keystone Academic Solutions, an Oslo, Norway-based company providing web marketing solution for higher education organisations, announced getting into a merger acgreement with Educations Media Group, a Stockholm, Sweden-based marketing service provider for the education industry.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Viking Venture and Verdane, the financial investors behind Keystone and EMG, respectively, will remain shareholders of KEG post-merger.
The bulked out business now has an annual turnover of more than US$50 million and a customer base of 5500 higher education providers.
CEO Erik Harrell will become CEO of new company Keystone Education Group, while EMG’s CEO and co-founder, Fredrik Söderlindh, will serve on KEG’s senior leadership team as head of M&A and a member of KEG’s board of directors.
Keystone Academic Solutions, founded in 2002, provides online solutions for higher education marketing, recruitment, and student enrollment.
EMG (Educations Media Group), founded in 2001 and led by CEO Fredrik Söderlindh, built and operates 20 digital platforms for education search in 10 different countries, including assets such as Studentum.se and Educations.com.
