Kitab Sawti raises SEK 11.5M
Kitab Sawti, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup producing and distributing audiobooks for the Arab world, raised SEK 11.5M ($1.44M) in fresh equity funding.
The money comes from a range of local investors including Creades, Inbox Capital, STHLM VC, Magnus Olsson, Mathias Ackermand and Lars Lindgren.
Kitab Sawti, founded in 2015 by CEO Sebastian Bond, started as a project to help Syrian refugees in Swedish schools and claims to have become one of the world largest Arabic audiobook company.
Prior to this investment, Kitab Sawti raised an investment round of SEK 1.5M in 2016.
