knokcare announced raising €1.7 million in a seed funding round led by Mustard Seed MAZE
knokcare, a Porto, Portugal software developer for the healthcare industry, announced securing a capital raise of €1.7 million ($2M).
The money was raised from investors led by Mustard Seed MAZE, and including the Social Innovation Fund, the Fascinating Folio of Porto and Ryse Asset Management in London.
The proceeds will be used for expansion.
knokcare, founded in 2015 by CEO José Bastos and João Magalhães, aims to facilitate access to primary care physicians through the use of an application that is used for Virtual Care Patient Management.
The company serves +1.2 million patients all over the world, in countries such as Brazil, South Africa and Angola, and has landed partnerships with giants like EuropAssistance, AdvanceCare and Medicare, Grupo Lusíadas Saúde and NOS telecommunications, as well as being an accredited service provider to the NHS in the United Kingdom.
knokcare previously raised £300K in 2016.
