Kolonial gets NOK 150M in fresh investments.

Kolonial, an Oslo, Norway company managing an online food retail operation, raised NOK 150M ($18M) in fresh equity investment. The money comes from Rasmussen Group, its main shareholder, which now owns 18% of the company. The transaction was made at a NOK 1.5bn ($180M) valuation.

Kolonial, founded in 2013 and led by CEO Karl Munthe-Kaas, is one of the big ecommerce players in Norway, selling groceries online.

Prior to this transaction, the company raised about $20M in outside funding, from investors such as REMA 1000, Verdane, Arctic Capital or Alliance Venture.
