kompasbank announced $22.5 million Series A financing round and getting a banking licence in Denmark.
kompasbank, a COpenhagen, Denmark-based startup working to build a banking business, announced that it completed a $22.5 million capital funding.
The name of the investors was not disclosed.
The company's chairman of the board, also a founding investor, is Jeppe Brøndum, previously the CEO of Blackstone in Denmark.
At the same time the company announced it secured a banking licence that would allow it to operate in Denmark.
kompasbank, founded in 2017 as Fintech Holding Aps by CEO Michael Hurup Andersen, wants to build a bank focused on the small- and midsized corporate segment in the Danish market.
