kompasbank to extend its series A with DKK 75 million.
kompasbank, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup working to build a banking business, announced securing fresh funding totalling DKK 75 million ($11.5M).
The money was raised from undisclosed investors and represents an extension to the $22.5 million capital funding round closed in 2021.
kompasbank, founded in 2017 as Fintech Holding Aps by CEO Michael Hurup Andersen and Jeppe Brøndum, previously the CEO of Blackstone in Denmark, is operating a bank focused on the small- and midsized corporate segment in the Danish market. The company secured a banking licence that would allow it to operate in Denmark in 2021.
