Kry, Swedish digital health startup, raises €6.1 million from Creandum, Index Ventures and Project A, looks for European expansion
KRY is currently available in Sweden and plans to launch in more markets in Europe with the aid of this seed round.
The digital health startup, founded in 2014 by Joachim Hedenius, Josefin Landgård, Fredrik Jung Abbou and CEO Johannes Schildt, said it has seen 30,000 people in Sweden use its platform since launching last year to connect with KRY-employed healthcare professionals. The medical professionals available on the platform are employed by KRY, often working part time for the startup and part time with a traditional medical centre.
The video consultations last 15 minutes and cost 299 Krona (€30) as compared to traditional consultations, that can vary in costs with local councils at around 200-250 Krona (€20-€26)
The investment valued KRY at SEK 126 million and the breakdown is as follows
Creandum: 21.35 million crowns (16.9%)
Index Ventures 21.35 million crowns (16.9%)
Project A Ventures SEK 13.3 million (10.6%)
