La Bouche Rouge raised €2.5 million from BPI France and French angel investors.

La Bouche Rouge, a Paris, France-based producer of plastic-free cosmetics sold DTC, announced securing a €2.5 million ($3M) in funding to the company.

The money was raised from BPI France and French angel investors. This fundraising will enable the company to accelerate its digital strategy in a strong omnichannel logic, to penetrate new high potential markets such as China, and to continue to expand the brand's territory with the launch of new products from makeup and care.

La Bouche Rouge, founded in 2017 by CEO Nicolas Gerlier, aims to produce a more environmentally friendly type of cosmetics. The company developed a sustainable lipstick and a high-end box that with a cartridge that can be refilled  with content that consume little water, contain no perfume, parabens or endocrine disruptors and which favor natural ingredients.
