Lastobject, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup producing a range of recyclable hygiene products, announced that it raised DKK 18 million ($2.9M) in capital funding.
The money was raised from investors led by the Danish governmental investment agency Vækstfonden.
Lastobject, founded in 2016 by Isabel Aagaard and led by CEO Kristian Pitzner-Jørgensen, develops hygiene products that are a sustainable alternative for consumers in the use-and-throw-away category. The range includes recyclable cotton swabs (LastSwab), recyclable cotton pads and recyclable paper handkerchiefs (LastTissue).
Previously, LastObject raised DKK 14 million ($2.5M) from over 52,000 customers on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, and received a loan of 6 million from the Danish Green Investment Fund.
