Leaf Space raised €3 million Series A round led by Whysol Investments
Leaf Space, a Lombard, Italy-based startup specializing in the provision of ground segment services for microsatellites raised €3 million ($3.4m).
The money was raised from investors led by Whysol Investments and also signed by RedSeed Ventures.
Proceeds will be used to consolidate and expand company's services dedicated to microsatellite operators.
Leaf Space, founded in 2014 by Jonata Puglia, Michele Messina and Giovanni Pandolfi, operates and continues to develop a solid and reliable distributed ground station infrastructure for a world where Space is for everyone, up there to be discovered and explored with small, versatile and cost-effective Smallsats. Their unique concept is focused on creating satellite telecommunications as-a-service, in order to assist clients with their satellite operations by managing and procuring the entire ground segment system through a complete set of services, including timeshared access to ground, customize telecommunication solutions, ground station procurement, consultancy and backup services.
