LifeX, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup managing the operation of running coliving spaces in Copenhagen & Berlin, secured DKK 30M ($4.6M) in capital investment.

The backers include Danish incubator Founders and German VC Cherry Ventures and the money will be used for expansion in Denmark and Germany.

LifeX, founded in 2017 by husband and wife Sune Theodorsen and Ritu Jain, came up with the idea of providing co-living spaces - living spaces sharing an apartment. The rent is between 8,000 and 12,000 DKK depending on the size of the room rented.

The target group for LifeX is foreigners moving to a new city - in addition to a place to stay, LifeX also provides help with practical chores such as a getting a local ID or opening a bank account.
