Lindera, a Berlin, Germany-based software company developing a solution for healthcare, announced that it raised €6M ($6.8M) in an equity Series A investment round.

The money was raised from local investors from Germany, including zwei.7 and angels associated with the Rheingau Founders.

Proceeds will be used to help secure international growth and expand its use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.

Lindera, founded in 2017 by CEO Diana Heinrichs, developed a software solution that facilitates motion analysis via an app, using smartphone or tablet cameras to track movement and reduce the risk of falls in seniors. The company says that their initial tests indicate that the app reduced the risk of falls by almost 20%, improved gait speed, and greatly reduced the seniors' fear of falling. The app is currently in use in more than 350 care facilities and therapy centres throughout Germany.

Total investments received (USD): 6.79M
