Liva Healthcare raised €24.5 million in funding from Verlinvest

Liva Healthcare, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based operator of a digital health coaching for people at risk of, or living with, chronic conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and heart diseases, announced that it completed a funding round of €24.5 million ($30M).

The money was raised from investors led by Verlinvest.

Liva Healthcare, founded in 2014 by Kristoffer From, Rune Bech and medical doctor Carl J. Brandt and led by CEO André Sode, provides a scalable digital health coaching service, delivering human-centric coaching through an advanced app to help people prevent and manage obesity, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

The company works with clients such as Novo Nordisk, AXA Health, Amgen, City of Copenhagen, Bupa Australia and several other key players in public healthcare, insurance and life science industries globally. Liva is also a partner to NHS England and is currently operational in Great Britain, Australia, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland with operations currently being setup in Germany and Switzerland.

Liva Healthcare previously raised some $9 million from three German venture funds - MIG Verwaltungs AG, Digital Health Ventures, Santo Venture Capital.
