Lunar Way, an Aarhus, Denmark-based company providing an app-only bank for the millennial generation, raised DKK 35M ($5.13M).

The investment comes as a followup of the €4.2M ($4.4M) round raised at the end of 2016, and its backers include existing and new investors, including Anders Schrøder and Jan Duckert.

Lunar Way, founded in 2015 by CEO Ken Villum Klausen, provides financial services for a certain young demographic, acting as a mobile bank. The model however involves that rather than securing a banking license of its own, it is partnering with local banks in the countries it operates in.

Lunar Way's investors include SEED Capital and insurance company Nykredit.
