mammaly raised €3 million in a pre-series A funding round backed by Five Seasons Ventures.

mammaly, a Cologne, Germany-based D2C producer of pet food, announced closing a pre-series A funding round at €3 million ($3.4M).

The money was raised from the French VCs from Four Seasons Ventures.

mammaly, founded in 2020 by Stanislav Nazarenus and Alexander Thelen, is a producer of pet food, specializing in quality natural ingredient products and snacks that are grain-free with no added sugar and artificial preservatives using regional ingredients with more protein and less fat. The products are developed together with veterinarians, targeting to help reduce the severity of common aging dog issues such as digestive issues, poor dental health, decaying bones and joints, and skin and coat problems. The company sells its products directly to consumers, online.

mammaly previously raised seed funding from about:seed GmbH in the spring of 2021.
