MATE, the Danish startup that makes foldable electric bikes, got more than $100k in crowdfunding investment in a week

The idea for Mate Bike came from the siblings Julie Kronstrøm and Christian Michael. Julie Kronstrøm have always loved cycling and still prefer to take the bike instead of the car. Her brother has just the opposite - he has always loved anything with a motor.

MATE Bike therefore looks like a mix between a BMX and a city bike, weighs 19 kg and comes into two versions, one for the EU market and for the USA market, as the rules for each are different.

Within a week the siblings raised $110,000, which is 139% of the targeted $80,000.
