Mathem takes up SEK 207 million in venture capital from Anders Holch Povlsen - one of Denmark's most successful e-commerce investors.

Mathem, a Stockholm, Sweden-based ecommerce company, received SEK 207 million in venture capital from Anders Holch Povlsen.

The company allegedly had a SEK 1 billion offer in venture capital - but it ended with "only" 207 million from Anders Holch Povlsen. Povlsen is one of Denmark's most successful e-commerce investors, and a major shareholder in Europe's two biggest fashion sites, Asos and Zalando.

The Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen who now enters as a major shareholder already has also a major share in Mathem's Danish counterpart nemlig.

He is now the second largest shareholder in the Swedish food company, after private equity firm Verdane which owns 40 percent of shares.

The third largest owners are the founders Caroline Hill and Thomas Kull, followed by clothing giant H & M's CEO Karl-Johan Persson and financier Erik Mitteregger.
