Matsmart gets fresh investment from three Swedish angel investors.

Matsmart, a Stockholm, Sweden-based discount retailer for non-fresh food, announced getting new investors on board.

They are local angel investors Johan Kleberg, Jonas Nordlander and Filip Engelbert, who also join the company's management as members of the board of directors.

Matsmart, founded in 2013 by Karl Andersson, Erik Söderström and Ulf Skagerström, sells all different types of surplus goods at an up to 90% discount with delivery throughout Sweden from a central warehouse in Katrineholm. The company had sales of SEK 26M ($3M) in 2015.

Matsmart has raised more than $8M in outside money from investors such as Northzone, Inbox Capital, Edastra or GP Bullhound.
