Medicheck to raise SEK 35 million.

Medicheck, a Stockholm, Sweden-based tele-medicine service provider via video calls or instant messaging, completed a SEK 35M ($4.2M) capital raise.

Medicheck, founded in 2016 by CEO Christian Tärnholm and Thomas Ehrengren, operates a digital platform intermmediating medical consultations via mobile phone, tablet or computer and is in use by about 40k customers.

In 2020, the company started to work with a local pharmacy chain, Kronans Apotek, to provide vaccination services at selected pharmacies around Sweden. The goal is for the service to be available at around 80 pharmacies - the proceeds of the investments will be used to support this expansion.

Medicheck previously raised more than $3 million from backers including Add Health Media, Soläng Invest and multiple angel investors from Sweden.
