Medituner to get $1.5M for AsthmaTuner from Almi and Butterfly Ventures.

Medituner, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing a digital solution for asthmatic people, announced in a press release the completion of a SEK 15M ($1.5M) capital investment round.

The funding was provided by a range of investors from the Nordic region, matched by Swedish agency Almi Invest, which contributed with SEK 3M.

Medituner, founded in 2014 by Henrik Ljungberg and Björn Nordlund, and led by CEO Eric Alhanko, provides a digital solution developed with the goals of helping patients take control of their asthma, simplifying the process and increasing efficiency for caregivers. The solution, called AsthmaTuner, is connected to a spirometer and gives the user control over his asthma. Patients can now measure the level of their asthma and receive automated, individually tailored treatment recommendations directly through the app.

AsthmaTuner is offered through some 60 specialist and primary care clinics in both private and public healthcare across Sweden.
