Mercell adds Viking Venture as investors in the company.

Mercell, an Oslo, Norway-based company providing software for electronic submission of public tenders as well as tender alerts to suppliers, announced getting into an agreement for selling a part of the company to Viking Ventures.

The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, and as a result, Viking Venture will hold approximately 30% of Mercell after the investment.

Mercell, founded in 1999 and led by CEO Terje Wibe, is a leading e-tendering platform provider in the Nordic and Baltic region, simplifying the public procurement process and making it easy for buyers to interact with suppliers. With northern Europe as primary market, the company is represented in 7 countries and with head office in Oslo, Norway.

Mercell offer suppliers in all industries a tender system to find tender information from public sector, and buyers the tools to conduct effective procurements in accordance with EU regulations. About 20.000 suppliers and buyers across Northern Europe use the system on a daily basis.
