Meyer and Løgismose and Løgismose Meyer announce their merger, funded by IK Investment Partners.

Danish food companies, Meyer (through Claus Meyer) and Løgismose (through the Grønlykke brothers), announced their intention to combine their businesses in a transaction that will see the Stockholm, Sweden-based private equity IK Investment Partners to become new majority shareholder. The new company will be named L+M (Løgismose Meyer)

Financial details of the affair remain undisclosed. By merging, the two family companies will be better suited to achieve their joint-ambition of improving the quality of food.

The majority shareholder will be IK Investment Partners through the IK VII Fund, with support from Dansk Vækstkapital, which will also invest directly in the company.

The new company has annual sales of approximately DKK 1 billion, and 830 employees. The current CEO of Meyers A/S, Steen Halbye, will be appointed as Group CEO.
