Minut closed $14 million in Series B funding led by Almaz Capital.
Minut, a Malmö, Sweden-based manufacturer of alarm system for residences, announced series B round, with total equity raised of $14 million.
The money was raised from investors led by US-based Almaz Capital, joined by Zenith, Kompas, Verve Ventures and Swiss Immo Lab alongside previous backers Karma Ventures, KPN Ventures and SOSV’s HAX.
Minut, founded in 2014 under the name Form by CEO Nils Mattisson, Fredrik Ahlberg, Martin Lööf and Marcus Ljungblad, developed a smart home alarm that detects motion, monitors noise, temperature, humidity, and mold risk. The product, called Point, is a mobile companion app based on an all-in-one alarm device that’s easy-to-install, packed full of sensors, an important differentiator as most modern alarm systems are camera/video based.
Prior to this round, Minut raised around $11 million, with series A closed at $8 million in 2019.
