Misc Games adds Goodbye Kansas as investors in the company.

Misc Games, a Stavanger, Norway-based gaming studio, announced that it entered into an agreement for getting the Swedish gaming company Goodbye Kansas as investors.

The deal was made for a stake of 45.6% of the shares, structured as a NOK 6 million $650k) for 25% of the equity in Misc Games by Goodbye Kansas Invest and a separate transaction of Goodbye Kansas purchasing shares from from Validé AS.

Misc Games, founded in 2013 and led by CEO Gøran Myrland, develops Ship Simulation Games and is known for the 2018 release Fishing: Barents Sea, and the upcoming Fishing: North Atlantic.

Goodbye Kansas Game Invest was acquired in 2019 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Embracer Group AB, formerly known as THQ Nordic. The company is currently holding a minority ownership in six game development companies in the Nordic region: Neon Giant, Fall Damage, Framebunker, Palindrome Interactive, Kavalri Games and Misc Games.
