Miss Mary of Sweden added Scope Capital as the new majority shareholder in the company.

Miss Mary of Sweden, a Borås, Sweden-based company operating a retail business based on an underwear brand for women, announced that it sold the controlling package in the company to Scope Capital.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the transaction, Elisabet Sandström, CEO of Miss Mary, will become owner of the company with Scope as the new majority shareholder. Peter af Burén, the original owner of Miss Mary since 1989, will continue to be a significant shareholder of the company.

Miss Mary, founded in 1957 and led by CEO Elisabet Sandström, provides high quality and functional lingerie to women across Europe and North America. The company still has the design team, attelier and sample sewing based in Borås, Sweden, and the products are primarily manufactured in the company owned facilities in Tallinn Estonia. Miss Mary's garments are sold world-wide through leading B2B partners in e-commerce, catalogues, marketplaces and through Miss Mary’s own webshops.

Miss Mary of Sweden expects to reach revenues of close to EUR 14m in 2018.
