MoonBikes in a $5M funding round backed by NextStage AM
MoonBikes, an Annecy, France-based maunfacturer of ultra light snowmobiles, announced that it raised $5 million.
The money was raised from investors led by France's Nextstage AM, joined by former Ardian’s head of funds Vincent Gombault, and Trent Kososki.
MoonBikes, founded in 2015 by CEO Nicolas Muron, assembles and distributes electric snow vehicles that are ultralight and silent, designed for snowy environments for professionals and the general public. The bike is powered by a patented electrical system, giving speeds of up to 42km / h, a maximum autonomy of nearly 3 hours, while being a more environmentally friendly solution, easy to use and requiring only a very little maintenance.
