Moonfare adds funding from Fidelity.

Moonfare, a Berlin, Germany-based financial platform operator, completed a capital funding round.

The deal was made in orfder to acomodate selling a minority equity stake to the American investors from Fidelity Investments. Financial details were not disclosed.

Christian Staub, managing director for Europe at Fidelity International, will join Moonfare's advisory committee.

Fidelity is the first institutional investor to acquire a stake in Moonfare. Part of the deal, Fidelity's clients will be able to access private market funds on the platform with a minimum €50,000 investment.

Moonfare, founded in 2016 by Alexander Argyros and CEO Steffen Pauls, developed an investmen platform, intermediating around transactions of about €500 million, with more than 1,000 users, including banks, family offices and their advisers.

Moonfare offers access to a range of private equity funds with a minimum investment of €100,000, and collaborates with some of the biggest private equity firms including KKR, Carlyle, EQT and Warburg Pincus.
