Moralis, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software developer of a blockchain framework platform, raised series A closed at $40 million.

The money was raised from multiple investors including EQT Ventures, Fabric Ventures, Coinbase Ventures and Dispersion Capital.

The proceeds will be used for product development and improving the user experience while also allowing it to scale to both increase its client capacity and support larger clients.

Moralis, founded in 2021 by Filip Martinsson, and CEO Ivan Liljeqvist, is developing tools and APIs used to build & scale aplications without cost and complexity. For that, the company provides a complete, end-to-end blockchain application development platform that allows developers and companies to focus on the front-end while handling the entire back-end. This saves time and money for projects that don’t have the resources or teams to build, manage, and maintain complex blockchain infrastructure. Moralis also has developed and runs a middleware platform that aggregates a long list of services ranging from node management, authentication to real-time and historic transaction indexing. It says it's being used by around 100,000 developers.

Prior to this round, Moralis raised $13.4 million seed in 2021.

Total investments received (USD): 53.4M
