Mynewsdesk acquires Mention

Mynewsdesk, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of a SaaS all-in-one digital PR platform in the Nordics, announced that it has acquired Mention, a French provider of SAAS real-time web and social monitoring tools with expertise in AI and data-driven analytics.

This acquisition has the financial details undisclosed and is part of Mynewsdesk’s extensive expansion plans to creating a new global category leader within real-time web and social listening for SMBs.

Matthieu Vaxelaire, CEO and Co-Founder at Mention, will take on a new role within the combined company as Chief Operating Officer, spearheading integration, innovation and growth, reporting to Mynewsdesk CEO Mattias Malmström.

Mynewsdesk, founded in 2002 by Kristofer Björkman and Peter Ingman, is an all-in-one brand newsroom and multimedia public relations platform, where companies can set up newsrooms to publish and distribute their content, simultaneously publishing it on social media or embed the newsroom to their own site.

The company is owned by NHST Media Group (NHST) and has worked with about 100,000 customers from over 5,000 brands in more than 100 countries. NHST is a Norwegian based media group which owns the leading Norwegian publications DN and Morgenbladet as well as Fiskeribladet, and the global media businesses Upstream, Tradewinds, Intrafish and Recharge.
