NearSt raised £2 million in a seed funding round led by Grosvenor Group, True Global, YYX Capital and Moscar Capital.
NearSt, a London, UK-based software developer for the retail industry, announced securing funding totalling £2 million ($2.7M).
The money was raised from a range of investors including Grosvenor Group, True Global, YYX Capital and Moscar Capital.
NearSt, founded in 2015 by Max Kreijn and Nick Brackenbury, developed a software tool aiming to make products on physical store shelves visible to shoppers searching online nearby. The tool integrates with media companies like Google in order to show real-time local product availability directly in search results.
The company's product, NearLive, is used by convenience stores such as Nisa, Londis and Budgens, through to luxury boutiques like Creed, Christopher Kane and Hirsh, Google, which uses the technology to show physical shop stock directly in search results and on Google Maps, and Facebook to help drive the social network’s local shopping capabilities forward.
