Netlify, a Danish founded and San Francisco, CA-based cloud computing company providing hosting and serverless backend services for static websites, announced closing a $105 million series D funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from the company's existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, BOND, EQT Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Mango Capital and Menlo Ventures.

Proceeds will be used for acquiring a company called OneGraph, a powerful GraphQL platform that simplifies the integration and management of APIs and services that web apps now rely on. The company also says it intends to setup the Netlify Jamstack Innovation Fund, with a goal to invest $10 million in early-stage companies and $1 million in open source projects to accelerate innovation in modern web technologies.

Netlify, founded in 2015 by Christian Bach and Mathias Biilmann Christensen (CEO), provides  web developers and businesses with a platform featuring modern build workflows, serverless functions and a global Application Delivery Network to deliver performant, secure and scalable websites and applications. The company pioneered the JAMstack category, a modern web architecture that combines the best practices of static sites with the API economy and serverless functions to deliver fast load times and dynamic content.

Prior to this deal, Netlify raised almost $100M, with a last round closed in 2020.

Total investments received (USD): 202.1M
