Nukute to raise €4.9 million in equity and public funding.
Nukute, an Oulu, Finland-based startup building a business based on a sleep wearable, announced securing funds to the company totalling of €4.9 million ($5.9M).
Most of the money is a €4.1 million ($5M) equity funding, series A capital round led by the Pharmacy Pension Fund from Finland, which contributed with 3 million.
The rest of the money comes from public sources. The investment will be used be used for European expansion and product development.
Nukute, founded in 2015 by Tuukka Visuri and led by CEO Toni Leinonen, develops, markets and sells solutions to support the diagnosis and monitoring of respiratory and pulmonary diseases.
