Veri to raise a $4 million seed round, led by PROFounders.
Veri (Human Engineering), a Helsinki, Finland-based startup developing a glucose monitoring solution for non-diabetic consumers, announced the completion of a $4 million capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by the British PROFounders, and accompanied by Lifeline Ventures, Accel with angel investors like Johannes Schildt (CEO and co-founder of Kry/Livi) and Kristian Ranta (CEO and co-founder of Meru Health).
This round also includes a previous pre-seed investment by Lifeline Ventures made in 2020.
Veri, founded as Human Engineering Health Oy in 2020 by CEO Anttoni Aniebonam, Verneri Jäämuru and Frans Lehmusvaara, developed a wearable glucose sensor connected to a mobile app and providing analytics related to diet and well-being based on monitoring the blood sugar balance. The goal is to prevent type 2 diabetes and provide food, exercise and sleep guidance by analyzing personalized blood sugar levels.
Veri is supported by 14 employees, and with the funding it aims to double its headcount during the year and hire a marketing team in the United States.
