Nurx announced closing $22.5M in Series C funding from Trustbridge, Comcast Ventures, and Wittington Ventures
Nurx, a Norwegian-founded, San Francisco, USA-based digital providers for women’s health, announced that it secured an additional $22.5m in Series C funding round.
The funding wsa provided by new investors Trustbridge, Comcast Ventures, and Wittington Ventures and included existing investors Union Square Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Digital Growth Fund. Proceeds will be used for patient growth, introduction of new sensitive health services, including treatment for headaches and migraines this month and expansion of its clinical, operations, and engineering teams in the near future.
Nurx, founded by Norwegians Hans Gangeskar and Edvard Engesæth and led by CEO Varsha Rao, provides personalized care for sensitive health needs, such as contraception, HIV prevention with PrEP, STI testing and treatment, and herpes treatment, which can be difficult to access and often carry shame and stigma. Today Nurx is available to 90 percent of the U.S. population. The company provides care to more than 300,000 patients on a monthly basis, offering an “all in one” service by connecting patients, medical providers, and pharmacies in a single platform.
Prior to this round, the company raised about $90 million.
