Oda in an investment round that values it at NOK 10.2 billion.
Oda, an Oslo, Norway-based company operating a grocery delivery business, announced that it completed a new investment transaction.
The deal involves both capital raise and secondary transactions made with undisclosed investors.
According to a statement made by CEO Karl Munthe-Kaas to the local Norwegian media, the whole ordeal puts a NOK 10.2 billion($1.2bn) value on the company, a 36% increase in 6 weeks, when the company completed a €223 million ($264.9M) capital investment deal.
That deal was a combination of a secondary transaction and a $120 million in capital raised from investors led by Softbank via Vison Fund 2 and Prosus, the investment arm of the South Africa-based Naspers. The two were joined by existing shareholders Kinnevik and local retailer REMA.
Oda, founded as Kolonial in 2013 and led by CEO Karl Munthe-Kaas, operates kolonial.no, a grocery delivery business covering about 70% of of Norway’s online grocery ordering and delivery market, producing about $240 million in sales in 2020.
