Omegapoint acquires Tripoint

Omegapoint, a Stockholm, Sweden-based solution providers within the area of IT security and the development of secure IT systems, announced that it acquired the Gthenburg, Sweden-based software consultant Tripoint.

The financial details were not disclosed.

Tripoint was founded in 2013 and has a turnover of 60 million SEK. The company  has 30 senior employees and works with clients in fashion, telecommunication, and automotive manufacturing and logistics industries.

Omegapoint Group AB, founded in 2001 and led by CEO Johan Malmliden, offers expert consultants in information security and secure application development and is a leading supplier of cyber security solutions. In 2018, the company’s total sales reached SEK 362.3 million with an EBITDA of SEK 37 million and is currently close to 300 consultants in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå and Uppsala.

Omegapoint is 60 percent employee-owned and 40 percent owned by the venture capital company PRIVEQ, which acquired it in 2017. This is the second acqusition in two years as in 2018, Uppsala-based Qurit AB was acquired, strengthening Omegapoint’s position within e-health and life science.
