OpenSolution acquires Finland-based electronic payment provider Finnpos.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Finnpos, based in Tampere with a sales office in Helsinki and led by CEO Markku Piippo, is a payments solution provider for restaurants and petrol stations in Finland. The company has sales of approximately €10M ($11.9M) and 64 employees, working with major and local oil companies chains as well as both larger and smaller restaurants.
Combined sales of the group are estimated to be in excess of EUR 30M ($35.6M) for 2017.
OpenSolution Group, founded and led by CEO Christian Johansson, provides a full service product and software portfolio to its client base, including restaurants, casinos, arenas and other customer verticals. The company covers the entire value chain of payment solutions, making it a single point of contact for 8,000 customers throughout Scandinavia.
This is the fourth acquisition of OpenSolution in 2017. The company is owned by the Swedish private equity firm IK Investment Partners.
