Oroi raises €400k in a round led by Easo Ventures, Clave and GSR
Oroi, a San Sebastian, Spain-based VR developer for the elderly people, announced that it closed a funding round for adding €400k in capital.
The money was raised from investors from Spain led by Easo Ventures, GSR and Clave Capital as manager of the Mondragón Fondo de Promoción FCR fund.
Proceeds will be used to expand the business in countries such as France, Germany or Finland.
Oroi, founded in 2017 as Virtualia World Travel Channel by Jorge Larruy and Iñaki Aramburu, is building a VR platform for entertainment and cognitive stimulation experiences.
The platform provides access to personalized exercises in simulated environments aiming to help the elderly population train and improve cognitive functions and emotional wellbeing. Oroi's solutions combine entertainment with exercises aimed at training functions that deteriorate with age such as memory, attention or language.
