Passenger, a Malmö, Sweden-based provider of carpooling services, announced that it secured a SEK 1.7M ($180k) capital investment round.

The money was provided by Almi Invest, Starbright Invest and an undisclosed angel investor.

Passenger, founded in 2016 by CEO Muhammed Al Bagdadi, developed a mobile app that connects car commuters with residents in the local area. The service, which is still in beta testing, will first be launched in Stockholm, and then in the Skåne region.
