Skira, a Västerås, Sweden-based company operating a digital grain trading platform, completed an angel investment round totalling SEK 4.3M ($450k).

The funding was backed by angel investors from Sweden, specifically Pontus Gustafsson and Mattias Weinhandl (via Pluscap), Wilhelm Arnör and Lars Dahlbom (via Arndahl), Lars Svensson and Tuva Palm (via Atomico's angel program).

Skira, founded in 2015 as a pet project by Joel Glemne and Niklas Ericson (CEO), developed a digital platform helping local farmers with access to competitive intelligence about crops, prices and trade agreements, as well as trading directly among themselves.

Prior to this round, Skira raised about half a million dollars from LRF Media.
