Payr acquires Bedrebest for its financial comparison service.

Payr, an Oslo, Norway-based company working to build a payment marketplace, announced the acquisition of Bedrebest, a local loan comparator website.

The transaction was an all-stock against Payr shares, with other financial details undisclosed.

Bedrebest, launched in 2015 and led by Kyrre Andersen, has helped people compare service providers within areas such as loans, insurance and electricity. On an annual basis they have helped 700 000 Norwegians through Bedrebest.no and the savings robot Even.

Payr, founded in 2016 by Espen Grimstad (CEO), Åste Laberg and Ola Einang, developed Smart Payments, an online platform for making invoice payments. Smart Payments works like a marketplace for invoices as the tool automatically suggest better deals for the services paid via the service.

In 2017, Payr raised NOK 3.2M ($380k) in seed money.
