Penni.io raised DKK 15 million.

Penni.io, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based developer of insurance technology, announced the completion of a capital round totalling DKK 15M ($2.2M).

The funding was backed by local angel investors from Denmark, including Niels Mortensen, Hans Agerlin Petersen and Finn Fabricius.

Penni.io, founded in 2016 by Jeppe Klausen and Esben T. Nielsen, developed a platform named Penni Connect, a full stack solution for digital insurance distribution built to connect insurers and e-commerce companies. The platform can be used as a plug-n-play rest API’s in order to enable e-commerce companies to cross-sell insurance products online in an instant.
