Pensiono raises SEK 13M, prepares for a larger crowdfunding campaign via Pepins.

Pensiono, a Stockholm, Sweden fintech marketplace raised a new investment round totalling SEK 13M ($1.5M).

The backers include existing investors, Lannebo Fonder and East Capital, as well as Spiltan, which contributed with SEK 6M for a 4% equity share.

The deal is valued at SEK 150M ($17M) and is announced as the company prepares for raising a larger amount of about SEK 40M through the equity crowdfunding marketplace Pepin.

Pensiono, founded in 2011 by Nicklas Hellberg and Mattias Fellenius, provides a marketplace for comparison of pension insurance products and wants to disrupt a SEK 330bn ($40bn) market dominated by established players such as Nordnet, Avanza, Länsförsäkringar, Nordea or Folksam.
