Permutive, a London, UK-based software developer of a tool for advertising-based businesses, announced the completion of a $75 million series C funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Softbank, with previous investors EQT Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and ACE & Company also participating.

Proceeds will be used to grow the company's patented on-device technology and scale its Audience Platform to create a global privacy-first infrastructure for programmatic advertising.

Permutive, founded in 2013 by CEO Joe Root and Tim Spratt, built a SAAS platform used by publishers to increase their targetable advertising, while still protecting reader privacy by using edge computing and processing user data on device. The tool is in use by publishers in Europe and North America, including News Corp, Hearst, BuzzFeed, Penske, Future plc, The Guardian, Vox Media, Insider, Hubert Burda Media and Condé Nast International.

Prior to this round, Permutive raised a $18.5 million Series B round led by Octopus Ventures and including EQT Ventures in July of 2020.

Total investments received (USD): 93.5M
