PharmaPrime scored €1.5M from Primo Ventures.
PharmaPrime, a Rome, Italy-based operator of a marketplace for last-minute order and delivery service for pharmaceutical products, announced that it raised €1.5 million ($1.8M) in a seed funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Primo Ventures and joined by a club of international investors. Primo Ventures, formerly Primomiglio SGR, completed the investment through the Barcamper Ventures and Barcamper Ventures Lazio funds.
This investment will be used to expand service availability into 30 Italian cities by the end of 2021, and to launch service in Spain and other European countries.
PharmaPrime, founded in 2016 by CEO Luca Buscioni, developed a pharmacy home delivery service, active 365 days a year from 8 to 24:00. The company is currently active in four Italian cities, Roma, Milano, Genova, and Bologna, offering delivery services for over 2 million products, including prescription medicines. The management plans to expand its services in other 30 Italian cities and to start expanding internationally.
